Christmas dinner with all the polish trimmings topped off with love, funnies and a good game of white elephant gift exchange. We were missing some important pieces to the fam jam puzzle this holiday but ate enough for the whole bunch of us. Family time is just the greatest, isn’t it? Happy Christmas! -k

Berry good breakfast. An empty arena is one of my favourite spots to prep. My amazing digital team. Cloudy daze from the treadmill. This hat is for my father because he legit got mad that I was wearing a NY cap. Beautiful words in passing. Staying awake for the Raptors west coast roadie via couchlife. Interviewing Austin Mahone (insert screaming teenage girls). E and me. -k

Suspenders. Wise Words. Blue Christmas. She’s little but she’s sweet. Holiday shenanigans. Playing sous chef for the roomie. All she wants to do is dance. My comfort zone. Dad called the win, again. -k
It’s the holiday season.
My roomie and I looked at each other after the game finished on Friday night (…and a nice win at home it was!) and said “We have an entire weekend off!” First reaction: Where do we begin? Second reaction: Pour a glass of wine and pass out watching movies with the fellas. Sad, I know. But it’s those simple things.
We spent Saturday doing normal Saturday things. On a Saturday. Woah. We baked cookies and treats and decorated the apartment with a little Christmas jazz. Christmas music filling the place all day long, of course.
Then the crew stopped by. The simple things. I told myself this year that I’m going to really enjoy every moment of this holiday season because it goes by so fast and it’s so wonderful. That personal promise started this weekend. And the spirit continued today with endless Christmas movies and some R&R.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend too. -k
Tea Please.
I don’t know if it was the dreamless night or the smell of bacon and eggs through my window this am or waking up before my alarm or the way the this mornings fog is covering the eyes of the buildings surrounding mine but… I chose tea over coffee this morning. And that makes me think of this.

Good morning, campers. Make it awesome. -k
She’s a Mess of Gorgeous Chaos.
So, I lay my head on my pillow and as I stared at the ceiling, tired as anything from the days emotions and twisted reality, I realized that I wasn’t creatively finished with the day. So I poured myself a glass of wine, turned on my laptop and let other peoples words guide me. I added a beautiful camera to my creative family this week. It’s my eye candy right now, sleeping on the table in front of me, making me restless about future dates. Pinterest is my escape between work tales and daily endeavours. So here are other peoples words that I’ve pinterest’ed recently because I relate. And then my pillow will get me back. -k
Guu-Licious.
Guu-licious. Saturday night birthday wishes were made at a little Toronto scene stealer I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. It’s not just the food that is outrageous at Guu Sakubar but the atmosphere is something you cannot describe to its entirety until you step inside. My attempt was ‘if you work there, there is no going to work in a bad mood and if you are in a bad mood it’s transformed right away’. The room explodes in cheers when you walk in, when you order a new dish, when a birthday wish is made, when you leave for the evening and just because someone feels like yelling really loud which triggers a chain reaction. Long oak tables hold all of your closest friends and the trickles of simple crustacean art read ‘eat me’. I’ve never had octopus. I had octopus. It was incredible. -k
