My Life
Kat’s Closet – Workin’ Lady.
Do you ever have those days where there seems to be a theme within your tweets and texts and coffee talks and youtube searches? A universal pattern. Today’s was “you have the coolest job.” That was the exact sentence that rang through all outlets. I do. January has been jam packed with Raptors games. And with tired eyes and a brain at full capacity as the end of the month rolls on in, I have loved every minute. Here’s a game day outfit from the role call. They won tonight, ps. Demar sank the buzzer beater and they’re coming home happy. -k

Nothing Fancy.
One of my New Years resolutions a few calendars back was simply the word “Balance”. Another one was creating moments to look forward to so you always have something to spark a smile when things get hard/busy/uncomfortably crazy. I’m going to continue those this year and look forward to more simple nights like this. -k

Can’t ignore the fact that it’s a jam packed January in Raptorland. -k
Wanderlust.
My bad case of fernweh has flared up these past couple of weeks. Maybe it’s the everyday email reminders from Air Canada and WestJet or that I’ve been sucked into the show The Layover. (Which I highly recommend for all of you foodies with a travel itch.) So as travel planning began for post season (or sooner because I don’t know if I can wait) I was asked about city life for a local blog and like I say at the end of my interview … I have a bad travel itch but when the recognizable building-tops of my city come into view just before landing there is always that simple comfort of the familiar. It’ll always be good to be home.
Here’s my take on life in the concrete jungle…
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
Christmas dinner with all the polish trimmings topped off with love, funnies and a good game of white elephant gift exchange. We were missing some important pieces to the fam jam puzzle this holiday but ate enough for the whole bunch of us. Family time is just the greatest, isn’t it? Happy Christmas! -k

Berry good breakfast. An empty arena is one of my favourite spots to prep. My amazing digital team. Cloudy daze from the treadmill. This hat is for my father because he legit got mad that I was wearing a NY cap. Beautiful words in passing. Staying awake for the Raptors west coast roadie via couchlife. Interviewing Austin Mahone (insert screaming teenage girls). E and me. -k
